SS2 Murni, Petaling Jaya

Serve nearly everything, this restaurant. Halal, no worries.
Warning: long queue, especially near around midnight. The tables stretch for nearly the whole block of shoplots where the restaurant is situated.

I love the drinks here, with cute-sy names such as "I love you", "I miss you". Juices and drinks special will be served with chunks of fruits and nata-de-coco in the drink, doubling the awesomeness of the drink.

These are the few things served at the place out of the very many dishes:

watermelon special

sour-sop special

mee raja
Drinks: 5/5
Food: 4.5/5

Location: SS2, Petaling Jaya

BAK KUT TEH in Klang

Weng Hiong restaurant, Klang

Served with warm chinese tea

THE Bak Kut Teh

Add in the fried flour sticks (yao char kueh)

sumptuous!!
Verdict: 5/5

Situated in Klang, about 5 minutes drive from Jusco Bukit Raja.
The restaurant seems to serve nothing else but their specialty dish of Bak Kut Teh. Oh yea, with rice, of course.
Reasonably priced and the portion is huge. So suggested order will be to half or 3/4 the portion according to the number of people you eat with. Wasting food is not a good habit.
Well, Klang is famous for its Bak Kut Teh, and this restaurant confirms the myth for me!

finally a puffy cream puff!

simple n quick

it puffs!
Success! n definitely yum yum!!
Nothing like homemade cream puffs. It may not be chef-standard, but it sure is satisfyingly yummy!

AWESOME BREAKFAST at crazy hour

the infamous curry wan tan mee we wake up at 4am for.
This only-served-from-4.30am-to-6.30am curry wan tan mee is worth waking up for.
Wan tan mee bathed in luxurious curry and topped with minced pork, fishballs, bean curd, fish paste and bean sprouts, served with a garlic-dried-chilli paste to enhance the flavour~ (I'm drooling now)
Priced at RM 4.00 for the noodles and add another RM 1.00 for the herbal drink, this meal fills you up nicely for the morning!
Located at Seapark, Petaling Jaya. Near BHP petrol station and Maybank, Seapark branch. Behind the row of shops, facing a housing area.  Open 6 days a week except Mon morn, if I'm not mistaken. If you ask her nicely, you can get her phone number, to make sure if she is open for business on your preferred morn next time. =)
Served by a lovely lady owner who seems to be never-ending preparing her delicious noodles for her customers.
She also serves few other type of noodles, such as the black soy sauce noodles (gan lao mien).
FYI, she is a roadside hawker with only 4 to 5 tables for seating. Half the time, I have to wait to be seated.

Verdict: 5/5

P/S: make sure you sleep early the night before, unless if you are a dawn-'waker'.

A very quiet place to gather, actually.

Food Verdict:
Laksa Terengganu: 4/5

Will you love her too?

Nearing sunset

Beautiful beach but deadly too

glorious sunrays

unity in diversity

A path to the mer-world

can you hear the waves??

She used to be hidden, there is not even a tar road leading to this place.
Now there is a small parking lot for visitors. I personally do not like this, 'cos this place does not seem so my-very-own anymore. Now She is slowly being filled with litters. Loathe those litter bugs!! Grrr...
Anyway, the scenery and calm She brings is still as serene as they were when She seem to be my-very-own private getaway beach.
Unless you love her like I do, I shall not disclose her location to you, not here at least.

Kuih Lapis ... Kinda~

recipe

weigh and add them up!

stir em'

filter the mixture

divide them to different containers for different colours

Steam em' layer by layer. Each layer takes bout 3 to 5 minutes, depending on the thickness

layer by layer...

wait til the kuih cools, then cut it up

Kuih lapis, layer cake as you might call it, but cake it is not. ^^
The colour is not very obvious on this one. The taste is still okay though.
Enjoy!!
